The Great Accomplishment of Maddie Ziegler
Maddie Ziegler started dancing at the age of 2, when her Mom signed her up at the Abby Lee Dance Company. Little did they know that they would be in a reality TV show, shot at the studio. The show made her very well known, for her dancing skills were mature for her age. She started to become noticed all over because of her beautiful dancing. She has won over 12 crowns from competitions, has won first place hundreds of times, and has won numerous titles at state, regional and national dance competitions. Maddie has also won many awards for her other hobbies, but she says that dance is her passion and her life (Maddie Ziegler Biography). Her passion definitely showed and she became recognized by another great artist, Sia.
In 2014, twelve year old Maddie was featured in Sia’s music video for Chandelier. The music video received over 1.4 billion views and an ARIA Music Award for Best Video, MTV Video Music Award for Best Choreography, MTV Video Music Award for Video of the Year, and a Grammy Award for Best Music Video. Maddie says, “most people are like, “Oh, you’re the girl from the ‘Chandelier’ video!”, and this is how she is mostly identified now.
