The Madden football game is the most popular and currently only console football game and the game itself does a lot to measure up to the real thing, but there are some things that hinder it for achieving an almost virtual reality form of the game of football. Madden is a video game franchise that has been around for twenty-nine years and counting. When the first iteration of this game was released it was originally called “John Madden football” for the Hall of fame coach that it sponsored. Produced by EA (Electronic Arts) the madden games are released annually and each year that it is released the game keeps improving and improving. EA has exclusive rights to make NFL branded football games and to use the teams, stadiums, players and their likenesses, and just about anything that can be digitized into a playable format. Madden gives you a sense of paramountcy over everything going on in the game. In reality what you see on a field is a combination of many different coaches styles and opinions. Coaches on the sideline have to constantly communicate to maintain some sort of flow or consistency. While in madden it is you whom is making all the decisions not a bunch of different people trying to agree on what play or scheme to run. The game of madden also allows you to see the whole field from above whilst while playing you only have your line of sight and instinct to go off of when playing. The most obvious difference is the lack of physical exertion needed to play madden compared to an actual practice or game situation. Coaches also have to watch film and come up with a gameplan on how to deal with a certain team or player. Coaches can not just put their players on a field and hope to get them to do what they’re supposed to do, they have to work with them and show them techniques on how to do their job

If i could choose one person from throughout history to have a thirty minute conversation, I would choose Tom Brady. I chose Tom because not only is he on my favorite team, he is my favorite player, and he is arguably the greatest QB to ever touch a football in the National Football League. Tom Brady has broken countless records, is tied for most superbowl rings, and has the most playoff wins in history! He always finds a way to win, no matter who he plays with, and I respect him for being such a great athlete. Tom Brady even tore his ACL and when he came back had one of the best seasons of his career, and since then he never looked back and continued to move forward.…

The fact is that learning about sports couldn’t have come with a more influential sports mind than Peyton Manning. I had the pleasure this summer to be invited to the Argus Leader South Dakota Sports Awards Banquet, where Mr. Manning was the guest speaker. When it comes down to playing a game of Madden with people online, rarely a pure opponent will occur. The game is full with tons of online players with authentic talent and classic tactics, yet these are not the players that one gets for a matchup. Rather, the opponents are the scum of the game using their inferior tactics that ruin the game for everyone else. A user may enjoy an easy game against one of these predictable play styles, but no one truly enjoys facing these opponents time and time again. The “Run N’ Gunner,” the “Milker,” and the “Cheeseball” will always exist believing their tactics will forever work.…

Even though football has been around me for so long I never really understood the game. I tried multiple times to understand, but it just wasn’t matching up in my brain. I asked my mother at one point and she explained somethings like, who the quarterback is and how a touchdown is made, but other then that it didn’t make sense. I can't even began to tell you how many times I asked my mother how the game works. I had watched football games for my bother, and even in high school, but the game was just a bunch of players in padding running after another player who had the ball.…

There are two main types of football; College Football and the National Football League. Although, some might say that the NFL is better than College football, but there is a greater number of benefits that come from college football; that lead many football fans to say, “College football is much better than the NFL.” Admittedly, in college, only for a short period of time can a college football athlete actually play while they are enrolled in a college or university. First of all, the rules in basketball are easy to explain. In basketball, players basically can’t make much contact with players on the opposite team, they can’t reach for the ball, they can’t push, they have to dribble the whole time, and depending on the situation, a player may have a time limit with the ball. That is basically it. In football, a player must understand how to gain or lose yards, what offside is, how a fumble works, which direction to pass it, know what kneeling on one knee is, and understand what first, second, third, and fourth down is. The rules of football are too complicated.…
