This project was not as easy as I had originally thought it would be. I was interested in this project because I thought that it would be fun, easy, and a chance at learning more about a topic that I am thoroughly interested in. I was hoping that this project could show me, more in depth, what it is like to own a professional sports franchise. To find the answers to my questions I used the game Madden 16 and the Senior Vice President of the Columbus Blue Jackets front office to understand what goes into owning a sports franchise and to create a scenario where I am the owner of a sports franchise.

I started off by researching the costs of owning a franchise at school. Then at home I started the franchise mode on Madden 16 to simulate what it is like to own a sports franchise. After that I interviewed the Senior Vice President of the Columbus Blue Jackets front office, to get further insight on what goes on inside a sports franchise and also what other jobs there are in a sports franchise. Finally I gathered up all of my data and put it into a google slide. The challenges that I ran into while I was doing this project were the fact that I didn’t have many human resources that I could gather data from and the validity of madden, because after all it

The football that we see in the National Football League (NFL) is the same as the Canadian Football League (CFL), but with different teams and rules. In the NFL, a team has four chances to get a first down (getting the ball ten yards), but in the CFL they only get three chances. Not only is the amount of downs different, but so are the amount of players on the field. In the NFL, there are eleven players on the field, opposed to the CFL, where there are twelve! In the CFL, they can fit twelve people onto the field easier because the field is bigger than the NFL’s field.…

If i could choose one person from throughout history to have a thirty minute conversation, I would choose Tom Brady. I chose Tom because not only is he on my favorite team, he is my favorite player, and he is arguably the greatest QB to ever touch a football in the National Football League. Tom Brady has broken countless records, is tied for most superbowl rings, and has the most playoff wins in history! He always finds a way to win, no matter who he plays with, and I respect him for being such a great athlete. Tom Brady even tore his ACL and when he came back had one of the best seasons of his career, and since then he never looked back and continued to move forward.…

One of the most popular sports conspiracy theories to come out of the past Century will probably go down in history as the deflate gate . It entails the fact that the Patriots were accused of deflating footballs in the AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts. Many believe that the Scandal has married a lot of holes and that is not fully born to be convicting Tom Brady quarterback of the New England Patriots of any wrongdoing. Though the Patriots have had a history of some sport scandals such as Spygate it does not solely reflect the face of the franchise Tom Brady. Brady is openly stated that he likes playing with the deflated football but has never admitted to deflating them himself or telling anyone to deflate them.…
