In mad world, Gary Jules tells a personal story of depression and whether life is worth the value and time of everyone’s existence. The video begins and ends with children acting shapes out as houses, a bird, the American flag, and a car. The music video seems to be in a shady region letting the listener feel how others with depression perceive. This paper will evaluate the video and depict what type of message Gary Jules tries to tell the viewers.
It is true that the song may seem depressing and also significantly suicidal but that is not necessarily the point he tries to get across.
