There were two girls and one brother. Macy was the only foster kid and this was different for her. Normally she was in a home with a number of other foster care kids. Her new family, the Brooks, were a modern christian family. Each child played a sport, whether they did cheerleading or tae kwon do, their schedules were always busy. Macy wasn't like the other kids. Walking around the block began to come boring. WHen this became the case she walked further distanced until one day when she came across the opening in the rocky coast, that held a little patch of beach. She sat here day after day, in complete peace. Her Heart finally stopped fluttering and her nerves were at an all time low. The only time she wasn't able to do this was when their was a storm. Her mind at the beach, was at peace with everything. The wind , the smell of salt water, and the sounds of children laughing in the distance, made her content with everything. This was the only point where was completely happy with the present and throughout high school she continued to visit her favorite thinking spot, while also opening up to her peers. By the end of highschool, she was surrounded by great friends. Maybe the past doesn’t shape your future as much as we think it
