She has filed a complaint with the EEOC, which they are considering further legal action against the McDonald’s (Molloy, 2014). Kay claims she was fired from McDonald’s for using the women restroom even though she had been using it the first three months of employment without issue (Molloy, 2014). Kay was confronted by a shift manager and was told that she was not welcome to use the women's restroom, and she should use the men's room from now on. She was later fired after meeting with the general manager (Molloy, 2014).
