MacNab is a name in Scottish origin. The name itself tells a violent history of war and tragedy. Son of Abbott. The name of a father who bestowed his name onto his son. The MacNab’s were a warrior clan always on the wrong side, even at one point siding with the British in wars. My great-grandfather, a Scotsman turned Canadian, Sir Allan MacNab, was a Freemason. Sir MacNab has an interesting history he fought in the war of 1812 at the age of 14, he was a well educated man leaving behind a great history. A politician and a lawyer he worked hard for Canadian equal rights serving on the legislation for many things. There aren't many others that I know of notable in history.
