Mackenzie Stealing Nikki's Diary

Decent Essays
The aspect of Mackenzie stealing Nikki’s diary is affecting the story because Mackenzie told everyone about how Nikki likes Brandon. Brandon found out and he was shocked and surprised. He didn’t tell Nicky that that he knew about her liking him but she knew that Mackenzie told the whole school. By the end of the story Nicky started dating Brandon. Makenzie got very jealous and tried exposing Nicky again but, everyone thought she was lying at this point of the story. Nicky’s friends were very considerate about Mackenzie being mean to Nicky when she was dating Brandon.
The time was sort of important to the story because we needed to know when Mackenzie took Nicky’s diary. The weather was not important because it didn’t matter what kind of weather

Throughout the short story “The Weather” by Deborah Willis there are many present themes, perhaps the most common and recurring one is how people can affect each other and their relationships, and how fast they can change between “passion and sweetness and sadness.” The ever changing relationships between the three main characters Edith, Braden, Rae and even Nina, the non-existent mother, are a constant drama throughout the story. The changes between Edith and her father is ever-changing, in the beginning her hostility towards her father is increasingly present when Braden, her father recalls how she said to her mother after the storm “Even then, she used that cold tone. “He’s here, mom.…

The word shape has numerous meanings, but the one that stands out most to me is “express in words: to shape a statement.” This definition relates to shaping one's life, and more specifically, shaping one's life through words. This can be done in different ways, from what you say to others, to what you say to yourself, to what you say without using words at all. No matter how it is said, anything that shapes your life is a gift. Gifts help shape people's lives and journeys and without them people couldn't succeed.…

Can you set the truth free? From my point of view that you should always tell the truth so you don’t need to suffer the worst consequences later in life and will get more into trouble. What the theme means to me is that everyone should tell the truth no matter what because whatever you had kept away could possibly save the world and it is more easier to get it off. The way that people should live is if you don’t let go of the truth you will find out that it will come back for you later in the future. I think that telling the truth could lead to better things while growing up and that we shouldn’t lie about the truth.…
