Is it better for a leader to be feared or loved? This is an argument made by Machiavelli’s novel, “The Prince.” He argued that if a person cannot have both, it is better to be feared. Throughout history, there have been many leaders. Some succeeded in winning the love and support of their nation, while others failed. Some would say there are certain traits, or qualities in a person that make them successful. Whether it be someone’s attitude, the way they handle tough decisions, or how they react under pressure.

A study at the University of Texas showed that even the way someone poses in pictures can show his or her personal traits, such as self-esteem or introvertedness.
