Machiavelli Vs Macbeth Essay

In my opinion I think that Macbeth is not considered a successful prince rule under Machiavelli because in the text it says a good ruler must know how to do wrong and be able to use that ability when necessary, Macbeth does not fit in knowing how to do the wrong and be able to use that ability when necessary. Also in the video it states that macbeth is not considered to be a good leader under Machiavelli’s eyes and kingdom. Machiavelli states that actions should be executed swiftly, whereas Macbeth extends the period that the actions occur during. Even though both of them advocate extraordinary measures to accomplish their goals. Macbeth does not fit in the rules that Machiavelli has to be a prince. Macbeth is someone who obtain his kingdom in a criminal manner, which is a way that in Machiavelli’s eyes is not correct, in fact in the book Macbeth that we read in class it states that Macbeth killed several people , one of them is Duncan who was the king. Macbeth had to kill duncan because the witches predicted to him that he will be king , so he picked the decision to kill Duncan. Anyhow Machiavelli never liked Mcbeth because of how the way Macbeth managed his image of a person that gets what he wants but in a wrong way. Also Macbeth is a person that gets manipulated by his wife,whatever that his wife said for him to do he will do what she says, for example in the book Macbeth that we read, Lady Macbeth manipulated Macbeth to kill Duncan, and so he did, she …show more content…
