Macbeth's Persecution Of The Murderer

The video starts off with a shot of the murderer, played by my little sister, staring towards a single candle. The choice to use only one candle was to emphasize the setting of medieval Scotland and the dark aura surrounding the murderer. The candle was also used to illuminate the murderer’s face, showing the blood and knife that “he” was holding. The use of a knife and “blood”, which is just face paint, was to clearly suggest that a murder had occurred. The low angle camera shot was used to suggest the unintended dominance and menace that the murderer’s words had on Macbeth and the angle represents Macbeth’s changed perspective as he is now frightened and weakened by the murderer’s claims. Then, the scene dissolves into an eye-level angle

Although Macbeth actually murders Macbeth, it is indirectly Lady Macbeth who murdered King Duncan by convincing her husband that he needs to murder the king. Macbeth does the physical murdering of King Duncan, but Lady Macbeth, it can be said, succeeded in convincing him that he must murder the King. Also, in a sense, the witches are to be held responsible for the murder because it is after the prophecy about Macbeth's succession that these tragedies occur. This ignites Macbeth's ambition to want to be king. The witches expect this when they tell Macbeth about their "prophecy" and they know of the bloodshed and death that it will cause.…

“Great is the guilt of an unnecessary war. ”(John Adams). When someone commits a selfish and vicious act that is unnecessary, it provokes guilt. In the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare, Macbeth’s guilt after he murders Duncan illustrates that he is not a villain or a hero, but a man who is flawed, by always being dissatisfied. This can clearly be seen in Act 2, Scene 2, lines 74-81.…

    Lady Macbeth's Guilt

In the beginning of the play Macbeth, it can be seen that the driving force behind the plotted murder of King Duncan was, in fact, Lady Macbeth. However, as the play progresses, Lady Macbeth's mental state deteriorates and she is no longer the driving force in the relationship. This is shown clearly in one of her last soliloquies (5.1.37-42) where she is sleepwalking through Dunsinane and plagued with memories of the night Duncan was murdered. This soliloquy reveals her guilt towards the murder and her emotionally weak state in contrast to the start of the play. First and foremost, Lady Macbeth was the one, who not only planned the entirety of the plot to murder Duncan, but she also belittled Macbeth for his lack of manliness, however, her…

The play “Macbeth” by William Shakespeare is a story of how the mind can take over and cause people to act irrationally. “The Two Wolves” is a fable about how each person feeds the wolves that fight within them, the “good one” and the “bad one”, and through feeding it they ensure it is the strongest. The fable applies to “Macbeth” due to the fact that Lady Macbeth is psychotic therefore feeding the “bad wolf”. The first piece of evidence displaying Lady Macbeth’s insanity is when she stated, “unsex me here, And fill me from the crown to the toe top-full [sic] Of direst cruelty. Make thick my blood.…

He had declared that “We will proceed no further in this business”( I,vii,32). Macbeth was steadfast in his decision explaining how Duncan had been nothing but kind to him until Lady Macbeth had inquired him if he was drunk earlier and if he could change his decision so suddenly, would he change his love towards her. In addition, Lady Macbeth had continually offered support and proposed ideas; she regularly took the initiative like when she drugged the King Duncan's guards and positioned the daggers.…

The Elizabethans believed that everything in the universe was interconnected, and that what caused things to happen were parallels between different realms. Shakespeare manages to incorporate some of these beliefs into The Tragedy of Macbeth. For example, Macbeth comes into contact with three witches who possess certain supernatural powers, such as telling one his or her destiny by seeing into the future. These witches shared with him what his future supposedly held in store. Would Macbeth’s fate have been the same if the three witches had never told him what his destiny was?…

For Act 2 Scene 2 when the clips are showing the post murder meeting of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth all films were mainly assimilated on the shots for a visually reference. And lastly.…

Macbeth is the successor of King Duncan after his vicious death. However, Macbeth was suspected as the murderer of King Duncan and other deaths since Macbeth’s reign. He is prosecuted for four charges: first degree murder of King Duncan and Banquo, second degree murder for the two servants, first degree murder of Lady Macduff and her children, and treason against the country. As a juror, my verdict for Macbeth’s charges of murdering King Duncan, Banquo, Lady Macduff and her children is not guilty. Thus, Macbeth is also not guilty of committing treason against the country because he is not guilty of murdering King Duncan.…
