In 1606, Macbeth was a play written by Williams Shakespeare. The play was about very brave Scottish man named Macbeth who receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he hopes to become the King of Scotland. Throughout the play Macbeth kills King Duncan, the King of Scotland. “ that but this blow Might be the be-all and the end-all here, But here, upon this bank and shoal of time, We’ld jump the life to come.” (Shakespeare, William, and Eugene M. The novel was about the passionate and destructive love between two central characters. One character is named Heathcliff and is raised with the Earnshaw children, Catherine and Hindley Earnshaw. Both the play and novel have similar things in common. Both are about love, someone wants power of something and everyone doesn’t survive. In Macbeth, Macbeth faces difficulty when he tries to kill his own friend Duncan, to become King. In Wuthering Heights, Catherine faces conflict with herself because she’s not sure who she wants to marry. Both stories shows the desire of them both to get ahead in life. Catherine desires to be wealthy as heck and Macbeth desires to become the King of Scotland. In Macbeth play his character changed throughout the play. At the beginning he is respected by his kinsman the King and his loyalty runs deep. Macbeth then somehow fails to ambition and encouraged by a prophecy and Lady Macbeth, Macbeth then kills King Duncan for his throne. After Macbeth kills Duncan he feels guilty for the act he had just committed. He also feels great remorse and wish he had never killed
