The tragedy of Macbeth is a book about a tragic hero. Macbeth is a person who is told his destiny by witches and tries to make it true. The book is surrounded by murders by Macbeth and others trying to fulfill the destiny of Macbeth. Macbeth’s fate is not set in stone when it is told by the witches. In scene 1, it states ¨All hail Macbeth, thou shalt be king hereafter.¨ Macbeth is given the fortune of knowing his destiny. He then chooses to act on the information. Macbeth has the attribute of of a tragic hero by choosing what he is going to do. Macbeth also learns through suffering. In scene 2, it states ¨ But wherefore I could not I pronounce amen? I had most need of blessing and amen stuck in my throat.¨ Macbeth learns that after he commits the murder, he cannot speak the words amen.
