They then show him the 3 apparitions; the first one is a floating head with an armored helmet and it says “Beware Macduff/ Beware the Thane of Fife” (4.1.71-72). The second one is what appears to be a bloody child and it says “The pow’r of man for non of woman born/ Shall harm Macbeth” (4.1.80-81). The third and final apparition was a child wearing a crown, holding a tree and it had to say “Macbeth shall never be vanquished be until/ Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill” (4.1.93-94). There is one last thing the witches show him and that is the ghost of Banquo holding a mirror showing all of his descendants that will be King. Being told this made him feel more of power and invincibility than the first time he met these witches, he once again took it to far. Macbeth had been torn away from these thoughts and soon learned why he should fear Macduff, that is because he fled to England to get help from their king. Macbeth makes it so that Macduff's family is killed and he is reason to blame for it (4.2.61-80)(4.3.193-240). Thus it shows that Macbeth now has no mercy for anyone of any age, even his own wife. He hears about she has gone in her sleep due to the guilt you could say and he was unemotional to it
