In the play Macbeth, Shakespeare examines the struggle of power. Specifically, He claims that they all want the power of the king and are willing to kill to get it. For example, “Let not light see my black and deep desires” (1.4.51-3). This quote shows that Lady Macbeth wants the King to be killed for power, but wants to keep it in the dark.
