Macbeth Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Analysis

Before everything, Macbeth is a warrior. He was a soldier that day after day, battle after battle, killed people with his own two hands. Macbeth isn’t evil, but he is suffering. It is common for soldiers to come home from war experiencing bizarre fits of madness and having flashbacks. Until recently, people didn’t know what to do with these damaged soldiers. Doctors have recently revealed that these soldiers are living with post traumatic stress disorder. Today, soldiers have many tools to help them fight this harrowing illness. If Macbeth could have gotten the help that he needed upon returning from battle as Thane of Glamis, many lives could have been saved. However, Macbeth's mental disorder consumed his life and took over his mind. He became obsessed with becoming King.
