MacBeth has been around since the 1860’s, clearly this play has been a turning point in the acting world. This play was written by William Shakespeare, and he did an amazing job with it. I first began to learn about macbeth in high school where we read it and then later discussed it and also watched a few different productions of it that were all executed very well. The original production was well done by Shakespeare himself but was kinda dry. By this i mean it was very monologues and a little difficult to stay following along because of these long talking parts of the important characters. The original production will always be the best because it is what created them all. I thought it was very cool that you showed us in class three different productions of macbeth to show us how there are different ways to get a particular point across. Unlike the original production that has the three of them on stage each reading their own monologue that goes on for a good minute I began to lose interest. All the productions where generally the same but I found Kauffmans to be the best in my opinion. Because it was something to focus on while listening to them have their conversation. To summarize there are many different productions of Macbeth, but I thought that Thomas Kauffmans was better than most. Macbeth will be around for a while being taught to many students. I have never seen Kauffmans before you showed us in class. I have read and watched the original plenty of times but none competed with Kauffman's.
