Macbeth Monologue

I have noticed that my masters, Lady Macbeth and Macbeth, have been acting strange lately. It seems as if every day I see them franticly discussing something away from others. Macbeth hasn’t been acting like his usual self and he seems to be angry and nervous. However, I think it might just be a phase that the couple needs to work out. I shouldn’t be too consumed with this as I need to finish setting up for the big event.

Oh dear Lord! You would never believe what I just saw with my own eyes. Macbeth has murdered Banquo. I could he do such a violent and evil act. I never thought of Macbeth as a murderer as he has always been loyal and kind. What should I do? Who should I tell? I don’t think I should tell anyone because what if Macbeth comes

However, Macbeth face seemed frozen and his eyes widened. At this moment, I thought Macbeth knew what I saw, but Macbeth wasn’t looking at me. After what seemed like an hour, Macbeth looked at me and said, “This seat is taken. “ With a confused face, I responded with, “Sir, this seat is empty.” I leave Macbeth to attend to others and as I walked away I wondered how Macbeth though the seat was taken when it clearly was empty. Moments after, I see Macbeth talking, but there was no one around him. After this, it crossed my mind that Macbeth must be seeing a ghost. I begin to feel more scared as I am not completely sure what is going on. I then see that Lady Macbeth is aware that her husband is going delusional. This made me more scared for my safety.

I continue to see Macbeth talking to nothing. At this point, I see that Lady Macbeth is worried for her husband. However, I do not think that she is worried for his safety. I think she is worried that others would see he is not fit to be King and she loses the power that she has craved for her entire life. I am starting to feel that Macbeth truly feels that he is talking to someone. Maybe Macbeth is filled with too much guilt for his actions and out of guilt he is seeing Banquo. I am very fearful that I will be killed
