Macbeth is jealous of Duncan because being the thane of Cawdor does not satisfy him, he yearns to be king of Scotland. With this in mind, his jealousy drives him insane which possesses him to murder Duncan in his sleep. Somehow, it does make him feel relieved to see Duncan lying in his own blood and his pleased emotion symbolizes the guilt evaporating slowly away from his self-conscience; he still proceeds with his evil plans even if he will face many consequences.
