Macbeth was born in Albia around 1005 which is when his grandfather became king. So Macbeth was always royalty, he didn’t just kill and then magically become king like in shakespeare's story. Three years after that, Macbeth was killed in battle by Malcolm and his English army not MacDuff. During the time before his death, his army was under many attacks, but they stayed strong. Macbeth then lost support of many allies which helped lead him to the time of his death. Macbeth’s body is buried at Holy Isle of Iona (where many scottish kings were buried). Macbeth’s son became king but was soon killed by Malcolm’s agents. Malcolm then, finally, became king of Scotland.
Shakespeare got the characters all wrong. Malcolm was the power hungry, murderer that killed to get to the top. Macbeth was an innocent guy who turned out being and amazing ruler. The only facts that were the same was their names. Everything else was changed and warped to Shakespeare’s story. Here now is Shakespeare’s version.
We start off with three witches, these witches meet Macbeth and Banquo, telling them that Macbeth will become king of Scotland and Banquo’s sons will rule after Macbeth. Macbeth then tells his wife, Lady Macbeth about what has happened and that King Duncan will be coming to their castle.
Lady Macbeth wants Macbeth to kill Duncan to fulfill the prophecy even though Macbeth was not exactly up to that challenge. Macbeth does kill Duncan though while he slept. When Duncan’s sons, Malcolm and Donalbain, heard of the death, they fled fearing they were next.

Macbeth kills Duncan, and in the third scene of act two, Macduff and Lennox enter the castle to find him dead. They pin the murderers of Duncan as the guards that were staying in his room in the night because their arms and faces are covered with blood. Macbeth then tells them that “here lay Duncan, his silver skin laced with his golden blood, and his gashed stabs looked like a breach in nature” (2.3.104-107). He told them that once seeing the divinity and majesty of Duncan destroyed, he felt an overwhelming emotion to kill the two guards who were lying next to the king covered in his blood. Committing the murder of the two guards was not part of the plan that Lady Macbeth came up with, and it is obvious that Macbeth did not feel anger and frustration against them for killing King Duncan.…

The type of king, Macbeth and Malcolm are can be seen through their contradicting goals in the play. Clearly, Macbeth would be the tyrant type of king; he would do anything in his power to remove those who pose a threat to his status as a king. The fact that there are people who are a threat to Macbeth proves that Macbeth is not a king that the country wishes to have. An example of Macbeth’s tyranny would be the assassination of Banquo and his son. Before Macbeth assigns the murderers to kill Banquo, he says, “Know that it was he in the time past which held you so under fortune, which you thought had been our innocent self” (3.1.81-84).…

When Shakespeare wrote Macbeth he relied primarily on a historical work of the time called the Chronicles of England, Scotland, and Ireland. Written in 1573 and organized by Raphael Holinshed, Holinshed’s Chronicles was originally meant to be a global map and history but was changed to just be the history of England, Scotland, and Ireland. Historians all agree that Macbeth is based on the information in the Chronicles. Shakespeare's version of Macbeth appears to be much the same as the Macbeth in the Chronicles. When we first learn of Macbeth in Macbeth, It is through the Captain, who refers to him as “brave Macbeth,” and as a proof to that says that when he was fighting Mackdonwald he “unseam’d him from the nave to th’ chops/ and fixed…

In both Macbeth, and Lord of the Flies the author is trying to show that greed kills all. In both novels the drive to be the leader results in either the death of himself, or the death of others.
