No resentment came from Beowulf. Also, he had provided riches for Geatland and reestablished a relationship with the Danes. King Hygelac's son, the heir to the throne, received no hatred from Beowulf. Instead of building hatred for the son, he supported him. With devotion, Beowulf earned the throne, and he served Geatland to his dying day. Now, Macbeth did not have that type of mentality. That man acted like a rebel. After hearing King Duncan's announcement to make Duncan heir to the throne, his jealousy grew. He showed no true happiness for Duncan. Jealousy along with Lady Macbeth's persuasion caused the deaths of many innocent people because of jealousy and self-concern. Even though, the ruler of Scotland, Macbeth did not attain this title the right way and died an ignominious death.
In conclusion, the compare and contrast separated the good warrior from the bad one. Geatland's king appears as the best man, and Macbeth does not represent a true soldier. This compare and contrast relate to choosing a president to lead a country. Selecting a president using compare and contrast helps to discover the best candidate. Bad candidates put countries in jeopardy if elected. Leaders should be picked based on their attitudes and
