Macbeth Act 2 Scene 2 Summary

Macbeth is the infamous cursed show written by the one and only William Shakespear. The play opens with three witches talking aongst themselves where they discuss a meeting place. They ultimately decide to meet on the heath after the conclusion of a battle (Which is indicated to have happened just previous to the shows opening scene) where they will meet someone named Macbeth. Scene two moves on to a military camp where King Duncan, Malcolm, Donalbain and Lennox enter along with their attendants to meet with a bleeding Captain. Through scene two we learn that two generals of the Kings army, Macbeth and Banqou, have defeated the invading armies of Ireland led by a man named Macdonald and Norway led by a guy who is aparently at this point not important enough to be named, seperately. Ross enters later in the scene to announce the betrayal of the Thane of Cawdor to which the King tells Ross to pronounce the Thane's death …show more content…
A porter walks the halls mockingly answering the knocks naming himself 'Beelzebub' than discuss with Macduff and Lennox who appear the effects of alcohol. Macbeth shows up and is asked by Macduff if the King still sleeps. Macbeth then leads Macduff to the Kings chambers where Macduff finds the King dead and returns crying out about the horror of it. This stirs the servants and other nobles sleeping out of their own chambers, Lady Macbeth acts horrified that such a thing would happen under their roof. Malcolm and Donalbain appear and are told that their father is dead and that he was killed by his chamberlains whom they found bloody gaggers on. Macbeth says that he slew them and Macduff is surprised by this information so he asks why? Macbeth states that he could not contain himself due to his loyalty and love of the King to justify his killing the "King's murderers." It is decided that Malcolm and Donalbain are not safe there so they split up. Malcolm goes south to England and Donalbain to
