Macadamia Chocolate Chip Yes Bar

They say necessity is the mother of invention, and that's certainly true of 'Yes Bar' creator, Abigail Wald. Frustrated with always having to say “no” to her child with food allergies, she rolled up her sleeves, got into the kitchen, and created a yummy treat she could proudly say “yes” to.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Abigail a few months ago. (http://itoldyouiwassick.info/2015/11/23/when-food-allergies-said-no-one-mom-said-yes-an-interview-with-yes-bar-creator-abigail-wald/). During that time, I asked if she would send me a couple of her bars so I could review them on my site. She did, and I can say with absolute confidence that 'Yes Bars' are pretty amazing.

When you bite into a Macadamia Chocolate Chip Yes Bar, the first thing you taste is the saltiness of the nuts and the tartness of the berries. Unlike other bars I've tried, the flavors aren't muted and blended together into one particular taste. You can clearly pick out each individual flavor as you chew the bar.

Biting into a 'Yes Bar' is like experiencing a taste of home. If somebody had taken them out of the wrapper, put them on a plate, and claimed they were homemade, I would have believed them and asked for the recipe!

The Macadamia Chocolate Chip Yes Bar tastes great at room temperature, but chilling it brings out its tart, salty taste and deepens the already savory dark chocolate

Based on the data collected in this lab, it can be concluded that double-stuffed Oreos do not contain double the amount of filling as regular Oreos. In the experiment, the mass and height of each entire Oreo was measured and recorded. Then, the cookie was split apart and the cream filling was scraped off. The remaining Oreo components, the two cookie pieces, were measured for mass and height again. By subtracting the cookie measurements from the Oreo measurements, we found the height and mass of the cream fillings, which we then averaged.…

In Recipe, by Nicholson Baker he write about how to make chocolate sauce. Baker takes a different approach rather than laying it out in a list of instructions, he does so in a big paragraph.
