PC owners and supporters are aware and display the fact that their computers are more flexible and are able to complete various tasks. PC computers are portrayed to be nearly as impenetrable as Mac computers when it comes to viruses and malware. Moreover, they are on the cheaper side of the computer spectrum and that is a humongous lure for customers looking to purchase a computer. However, these claims are not always factual as they are perceived. Although Macs are becoming vulnerable to malware occurrences as well, they are still such a minute portion of the computer world that the numbers are incomparable. While PC runs Windows beautifully, Macs can run Windows viably and their own OS X, which makes them desirable to purchase since the user isn’t limited to one operating system. The Mac can even practice other operating systems such as Linux and Solaris (www.diffen.com). Obviously, readers are asking themselves, “Why does the operating system matter so much?” OS X and Windows are quite different. Anyone who has used a Mac and a PC won’t hesitate to tell you that OS X is a downright easier and prettier operating system to use. Windows can be a confusing operating system with a variety of options and a clutter of icons on the desktop. Moreover, the Mac’s user interface has a well-positioned taskbar at the bottom that has any program that could need commencement. Mac devices lovingly embrace their monetary value much healthier than PC, not only with computers but with all Apple products. The market is saturated with PC computers and laptops that diminish their value, while Macs are scarcer and even a few years after purchase they can still be sold for a respectable amount. Moreover, Macs are able to process every single operating system that is available. While PC computers can run the major operating systems which include Windows, Linux, and Solaris, Mac is the solitary computer that has the ability to run OS X as well, legally (www.diffen.com).
