Hello my name is Amanda, I am currently a student at South Texas College in the Rio Grande Valley. I am writing to make a change for the better. Although I am one voice out of billions of people out there, I would greatly appreciate if you take into consideration of what I have to say. MAC had always been one of my favorite make-up brands out there until I faced a serious issue. I would like to continue using your beautiful products, but I refuse to purchase anything that requires animal testing.

MAC Cosmetics had been known as a cruelty free brand for along time, this is why I’ve never hesitated in the past when purchasing the product. During my research on animal cruelty, I am heartbroken to see that MAC is no longer a cruelty free band. MAC has been

There are videos on how rabbits are tortured in lavatories for testing, it changed the way I thought about MAC Cosmetics. The rabbits are placed in crates with only their heads sticking out, some of them die when trying to escape by breaking their neck. Rabbits are tortured and tormented by hundreds of companies and are killed right after the records are recorded. Make-up shouldn’t be more important that a living species. There are so many other ways to avoid animal testing and they can also benefit your product. Experiment on rat species and monkeys don’t help when looking for things like cancer. In vitro, is a different direction you can take. It is a test based on human cell and tissue cultures, is more accurate with chemical skin irritants than animal testing.
