Did you know the ferris wheel is one of the world 's biggest engineering wonders? The world of engineering has become so vast and popular with many new growing careers and very competitive futures. For instance, careers such as civil engineering, petroleum engineering, and engineering with an MBA are one of the few careers in the field of engineering. They all have different jobs however; some are more science or math based depending on your interest. Engineers typically design and build or help in the production of consumer goods such as shoes for comfort and quality. They strive to help the quality of life better for the society and environment through designing, developing, testing, producing, and maintaining.

Advantages consist of things such as: jobs in engineering typically always being high demand due to the fact that the world will always need new things built, they have a great salary potential, the broad range allows you to choose between a variety of options within civil engineering or even teaching, civil engineers also have the opportunity to travel to new places and they get to spend a lot of time outdoors compared to a closed off cubical setting, and it is a respected career amongst society beliefs. However, disadvantages consist of: extreme pressure due to such a large scale of work which has great risk and can cause you or your business to look bad, you will work full time although a quarter of civil engineers work more than full time in order to accomplish planning of a project, you work outdoors which for some is difficult and not favorable, with more social media and technological advancements allows for more criticism to reach to the individual civil engineer which can add to pressure, with past history of pollution it makes it more difficult for civil engineers to go on about a project without facing other difficulties, constant construction limits space for construction of transportation and amplifies noise pollution and such when transportation is squeezed in, also risk of things such as vandalism and accidents or
