Mabon, or the Fall Equinox, is another harvest festival. It is celebrated on September 21st in the Northern Hemisphere and on March 19th is the Southern Hemisphere. However, depending on how Mabon falls, it can also be on either the 22nd or the 23rd of September in the Northern Hemisphere. Just like Ostara, Mabon is a time when dark and light are balanced, but mostly the darkness sets in and we go from warm weather to cold weather. We harvest what is left in our gardens before the freezing cold weather sets in. We also prepare ourselves for the cold winter months that are ahead of us of. Mabon is the second harvest ( Lammas is the first and Samhain is the last) festival and it is also a time when we honor and recognize the changing of the seasons …show more content…

The Goddess at Mabon is the Mother Goddess who turns into the Crone. I always meditate before and after my ritual ( that includes other Sabbat rituals that I do during the Sabbats). During both mediations I always find a way to keep balance. Balance my mind and balance my body. Other ways for me to do a ritual is to go to my local apple orchard and just walk through the many, many rows of different apples that have grown fresh and ripe on the apple trees.

I love the darkness and the dark night sky. Each night (not just on Mabon), I sit quietly in the most darkest room of my house, close my eyes, and let the darkness of night engulf me. For me, I feel protected and I also feel that my house and family are protected as well. Sometimes I will even go outside in the dark night sit in the grass and listen to the insects and bugs chirping and let the moonlight shine on me. Because I am a believer of honoring and worshipping nature, I also take the time to enjoy nature even when it is dark!
Working with energies and raising energies is another thing that I do to prepare myself for my Mabon ritual. To do so, I start by using an energy spell. I let it take effect and then I go on with my ritual. However, I will do the energy spell alone

Apollo has been called "The most Greek of all the gods". He is thought of as a beautiful figure in Greek poetry, depicted with long tangleless hair and a face of the beardless youth. He's treated as the master musician, the archer god, the god of light, the speaker of truth, and the healer. He's sought out by the people as an Oracle, the common folk looking towards him to know their prophecies and predict their futures. Apollo at Delphi was a purely beneficial power, since he guided the people to have a glance at the God's wills.…

Also, Persephone is able to reprimand those who are immoral or do not satisfy her with offerings and sacrifices (line 364-369).
