Teachings:
The young boys are taught to be strong and powerful. Girls are taught to fear men and to to be told what to do. They are taught to do housework whereas the men are taught to be fierce warriors and cattle herders.
Education:
Education is not the first thing that is taught to the boy and girls. In recent years education has become more important within the tribes with it being taught more. Kids are taught simple stuff like basic math and reading simple words. They are also taught their native languages and some english.
Folklore:
The Maasai tribe has many legends and myths. THe myths and folktales talk mostly about the origins of the religion and how their culture was created. They talk about the first Maasai tribe members and the different rulers and leaders of the tribe.
The myths talk about the differences between the sexes, and what each tribe within the Maasai tribe raised and did.
Moroyok:
Moroyok is the original female Maasai tribe. They would raise the original cattle known as antelope. They would also raise gazelles and zebras. The Maasai tribe focus mostly on the physical and emotional education of the people. They train and teach kids how to survive in their culture. In America we are taught everything. We are taught how to read, to write, to understand math, and everything else there is to know. In America if you want to survive and live a successful life you need to have an education and need to successfully pass college and have major to get good jobs. Maasai you don't need a diploma or a certificate that says you are ready for this job. All the men are ready for the job of being a cattle herder and a warrior by the time they reach the adult
