We believe the following strategies, each with its unique set of challenges, would help Mihocko Inc. respond to the need for compliance with the proposed Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) emissions limits. The first strategy would be to adjust its product mix. Mihocko produces five products, one at a time, throughout the year. Using data provided, Mihocko can determine an optimal production combination function based on potential sales, variable costs, particulate emissions, revenue streams and operating hours.…
IMBA 6430 Cohort - A Justin Coffman, Adam Lewis, DaMon Mayers Assignment 2 J.R. Reid, Jonathan Stamberg, Venu Pamulapati With looming EPA regulations on the horizon, Mihocko, Inc. is faced with quite the dilemma. Do they reduce production, employ the use of technological advancements, or simply battle the regulations in congress? All businesses are impacted by government regulations in some fashion, and competitive manufacturing companies must be especially progressive in leveraging the most cost effective solutions or these regulations could drive them out of the marketplace.…

The idea behind my project is to show how the aphorisms were always running through Morrie's mind. I drew a silhouette of Morrie and filled it with aphorisms that stood out to me. I did this to show that Morrie, himself, came up with these aphorisms, and not someone else. Morrie used the aphorisms to teach and get a point across in a way that is easy to understand. My project is another tool to help get Morrie's many messages read.…

The beginning of my research of becoming a csi investigator. I originally didn't choose to be a csi investigator. I wanted to research into archery and becoming a toxophilite. I then realized I got stuck and I wasn't really into archery. I also wanted to become a police officer, but I wanted to examine crime scenes also.…
The Mabo Decision was the result of Eddie Koiki Mabo 's efforts to campaign for Aboriginal civil and land rights, a response to the discrimination Aboriginal communities have been subjected to in their own land, beginning from the arrival of the First Fleet and continuing to the present day despite numerous efforts. Prior to Mabo, the policies of Terra Nullius and Crown Land were seen as an unfair violation, and no representatives from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community decided to litigate it in court until Mabo and others from Murray Island took initiative. Eddie Mabo 's campaign for civil rights succeeded through legislation such as the Mabo Decision, Native Title Act, and the Wik Decision. Their campaign was highly effective in the way of Aboriginal civil rights; the Mabo case and its subsequent outcomes became significant for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.…
Over 15 years ago, Robert Nash (2011) developed a new academic writing style called Scholarly Personal Narrative (SPN). For the first time in academics the unacceptable use of the ‘subjective I [me]’was acceptable in scholarly writing. Before SPN only the ‘objective they [we]’ was appropriate for research because scholars believed that only experts could support an agreeable or disagreeable topic. Nash (2011) wanted SPN to become, “a respectable research genre in higher education, particularly in the professional schools” (p. 4), so he wrote his first book, Liberating Scholarly Writing: The Power of Personal Narrative (2004).…
In occupational therapy, Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) and Person- Environment- Occupational Performance (PEOP) Model are two fundamental frameworks. MOHO was developed from 1960s onwards by Dr. Gary Kielhofner, which was the first occupation- based model to explain occupation and occupational problems, while PEOP is a client- centred and top- down model, focusing on the relationship between individual, group and community since 1980s. In this essay, these two models will be compared and contrasted in regard to their basic assumption, components and application. To begin with, MOHO and PEOP have different basic assumption.…
As the senior project comes to an end, I am truly excited about the benefit my influence has had on the community. My senior project was just another step to the legacy that I have implemented in Warren County. Thinking back to freshman year, senior project seemed so boring and far away. I never would have imagined the progress and success I've had with my senior project. My interest has stayed the same but I wouldn't think that I would have County Commissioners and a House of Representative present at my event.…

As a STEM student, Project Based Learning (PBL) has contributed to my ability on how to evaluate problems, conduct research, and find solutions. Each project in PBL provides me with an opportunity to collaborate with other students, write research papers, communicate ideas through presentations and write papers, the opportunity to build things such as an ROV/ SeaPerch , as well as investigate different careers through job shadowing. The PBL has contributed to my ability to communicate effectively, share ideas, work together in groups and how to be a leader.…
During and after the group project I got a better understanding of NAVAL and a better understanding of my group. For example, Lexi is the leader of the group and Camille is the worker bee meaning that she is the one to go to for the information about the presentation. There were many high points in the group such as when we completed are power point early and when we researched the information. I had a blast working with them. A low point was when the video couldn’t load and we had to start from scratch again.…
Using the 5 dynamics tool, I discovered several working style characteristics about myself that I really had not previously thought about. The application of this new knowledge will improve the way that I work with other people in my education, my career and in my personal life. For example, I learned that if I partner with others whose strength and weakness are different from mine, working together as a whole we will obtain better results than we will if we work separately. Furthermore, I learned that each team member brings different strengths to the project thereby producing a more balanced result. As a result of taking the 5 dynamics assessment, I discovered that I have valuable strengths that are especially beneficial in developing…
Throughout the course, I learned different aspects of project management, and skills that can be used in the everyday life as long as involve interacting with other people. In this class I learned about how to be a better team member. This semester I was reminded of how important communication is and how people need to keep emphasizing it as one of the most important skills any person could possesses. The personality test was useful, I think it gave all of us a good way to start to see how everyone is different. It made it easier for each of us to better understand one another in how our unique personalities can be a challenge when working with others.…
