MLK was one of the most influential individuals of the 20th century. Martin Luther King Jr., originally named Michael, was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 15th, 1929. He grew up in a time of segregation where whites and colors were separated. As a kid, he attended segregated schools, drank out of colored water fountains and lived in a certain neighborhood away from whites. However, MLK dedicated his life to fight for colors rights which made him one of the most influential individuals.
