O: I want to maintain independent living in a place of my own.
A: MHS reinforce budgeting skills; educated the member on responsible spending, MHS reinforced communication skills, MHS educated the member on problem solving skills.
R: The member was in a good mood today. The member stated she was in some pain, but she did not want to call or go to the doctor. MHS reinforced one of the most important skills the member will need to learn, how to manage and budget her money. MHS reviewed simple budgeting techniques for monthly expenses, plus how to save over time for unexpected purchases. The member stated she tried to budget her money this month but she had to help her boyfriend. The member said she could not do what she planned to do with her money this monthly. The member said

The member said she doesn’t like to talk on the phone with anyone. MHS informed the member that while living on her own she will be responsible for contacting others to resolve issues that may take place. The member was informed that she may have to call businesses asking for information and she may have to schedule appointments for her and her family. The member said she will just get her boyfriend to call and take care of her business and he can also schedule appointments for her and the kids. MHS explained how communication skills are important for the member to develop, so she can maintain her own independence. MHS educated the member on problem solving skills. MHS informed the member that no matter how much we plan and prepare, problems are bound to arise. MHS informed the member that she will need to be able to think about possible solution on her own and follow through with her plan. MHS reinforced how good problem- solving skills are necessary to handle anything life may throw at you. The member said she hopes she does run into any problems or crazy situations, because she will get mad and her boyfriend will have to think of a plan to solve the problem.
