Appropriateness- I could see Firo-B being used in a variety of niches. I could see it working effectively in a group environment. When working with others personalities and views are going to be different. The Firo-B measures how participants feel when it comes to inclusion, control, and affection. At the same time touching on interpersonal needs. Conducting the assessment can highlight potential “conflict areas” in a group and shed light on everyone’s differences. Once you have a better understanding of how you interact with others and how others interact, you can work towards minimizing conflict.
Ethical- We must prepare for the misinterpretations of the data. Meaning based on the results some may not understand nor agree. Its important to have someone with the appropriate credentials review the results with the client. We must never deceive or mislead clients with results. Do not lie or hold back results to make the client feel better.
