This movie depicted the characters clearly and it is confirm to 1950s people’s behavior. At that time, when America won in the World War II, they occupied and put some soldiers in Japan. It reviews in movie. Foods, music, and some Asian people suggest this point. Soldiers also did not have a good attitude to treat the Asian people. They operated to the small boy unconcernedly and did not follow the rule of hospital. There is the normal thought in America at that time because they are winner and they did not want to stay in Asia. Director shows their mentality to audiences.
