For many years, I have dreamed of going to college to pursue a career, which is a necessity in order to obtain success. Many people need help acquiring the means to go to college. This is one of the reasons why I am applying for the Mississippi Association of Federal Education Program Directors (MAFEPD) scholarship. I deserve to be chosen for this scholarship because I am hardworking, determined, and persistent student. I attend Bay Springs High School. I participate in Beta Club, Spanish Club, Gap Program, FCCLA, and JROTC. I plan to attend Jones County Junior College in the fall 2016 and complete my education at William Carey University. I strongly believe that I have what it takes to succeed. I feel like with the opportunity of the MAFEPD

At an early age, I didn’t understand the concept of an immigrant family and that our resources were very limited. It wasn’t until I got older, that I finally understood and recognized the struggle that my family went and still continues to go through.
