Marcus tells his parents everything that happened to him when the terrorists attacked the BART. Marcus tells Barbara that he’s “M1CK3Y” and with the help of Ange, he explains to Barbara how the xnet works. Marcus and Ange get taken by the DHS and Marcus finally reunites with Darryl.

Marcus' parents take Marcus to talk to Darryl's dad. Marcus tells him that Darryl is alive and is a prisoner in Treasure Island. Marcus thinks after the story is publish the DHS will figure out that he is involved with the xnet. He thinks they will connect him to M1CK3Y. Masha, who claims to have been arrested by the DHS at the same time Marcus was, sents an email to Marcus Marcus comes up with a plan to escape. The plan is called "VAMPMOB".

The terrorists who attack us are still free -- but we're not.” I chose this quote because it shows how desperate Marcus is to get his country back, to get his privacy back. He’s telling his friends that if they want their country back, they have to fight for it. The terrorists who attacked the bridge are still free but the citizens of the country are being punished. The DHS spied on people, tortured Marcus, kept innocent people captive and away for their loved ones. The DHS should have searched for the terrorists and with proof, punish them. The DHS captured people without any proof. This is why I think that this quote is important. “That was when I knew that I couldn't run. That was when I knew that I had to stay and fight.” I think this quote is important because Marcus realizes that if he runs away, he might not see the people he loves. He realizes that he has to stay and fight for his loved ones, for himself and his country. If Marcus would have run away, the DHS would still be capturing innocent people. Marcus fought for his country and almost died saving it when the DHS tortured him by waterboarding. Therefore, this quote is
