I believe that this is a fair conclusion because there is little development and very few character that effect the story. The only character that truly influences the main character is Lauren. His father does not help the story flow or develop the events that are portrayed in the story. The teacher does help the main character realize that he wants more out of life than just being intimate and cute with girls. This category also will get a four out of five in the narrative technique and development of the story. The pace of the story is demonstrated by the short dialogue between each of the character that are in the story. For instance on page 94 of the story, the conversation between the Edna and John. This make you feel like there is more touching between Edna and John than a conversation which enhances how the theme of the story is shown. The story also lack detail which gives the story more of a fast pace and snapshot feel. There are some minor detail but, the author never goes to extreme detail to talk about how the dad looks. I do like this attribute of the story because it could be seen as a hint that says anyone will be intimate even without knowing their true
