Lynda shows her courage and her persistent throughout her book. She is jailed eleven times by the age fifteen, but continues to fight for equal rights for African Americans. This book fits into my topic because Lynda is courageous by not giving up fighting for what she believes is right. Lynda even goes to jail and still continues to march. This book would be considered an autobiography.
Panem is a futuristic country that replaces America. The Capitol runs the twelve districts where they instill cruel punishments to the districts children to show them that they are in charge. Katniss displays courage because she defiles the rules of the games by allowing Peeta to live. This connects to my other books because she displays courage as a trait because she stands up for what she believes in even if that means she has to defy the law.
