Introduction
Lymphoma is the name of a diverse group of cancers of the lymphatic system, a connecting network of glands, organs and vessels whose principle cell is the lymphocyte. Lymphoma originated from new Latin, dating back to 1870-75; lymph-,-oma. When lymphoma occurs, cells in the lymphatic system grow abnormally. They divide too rapidly and grow without any order or control. Too much tissue is formed and tumors begin to grow. Because there is lymph tissue in many parts of the body, the cancer cells may involve the liver, spleen, or bone marrow.
There are two general types of lymphoma which are Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. They are two opposites …show more content…

Conclusion
If you are ever diagnosed with lymphoma it is best to treat it immediately. Although there aren't any hard facts that say you get lymphoma from one certain thing, there are precautions you can take to help your chances of not getting it. Check your family history to see if anyone has had it because it is sometimes hereditary. Doctors say this is one of the most curable cancers today. There are no hard facts or evidence saying a certain treatment method works better than another one. It all depends on your age, immune system, and what type of lymphoma, etc. on which treatment method would work best.. It also depends on what stage your cancer is in; but survival rates are higher for younger patients. The survival rate for adult patients with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is greater than 80% , and for children with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma the survival rate is more than 90%. A cure that I think scientist and doctors should look into is a bacteria that fights off the cancer from attacking the blood cells and …show more content…
I will first define lymphoma and tell where the word comes from then I will tell how Lymphoma affects the body and where it attacks the body. After I explain what it does to your body I will tell how to treat this cancer and different types of treatments. Also, I will add to my paper any environmental factors that can contribute to getting this cancer and I will do the same thing for genetic factors as well. Also, I will tell how to prevent this cancer if there is any. I will add data to my paper showing which treatment is proven to help the most and have the best rate of survival. Finally, I will finish with a
