Lymphoedema is a severe and chronic swelling triggered by a problem in the lymphatic system. It could be produced by a genetic abnormality due to underdevelopment of the lymphatic system or secondary to external factors as infection, injury or cancer treatment [1]. Being breast cancer the 2nd most diagnosed from overall cancers, with patients developing lymphoedema in 40% of the cases [2]. Lymphedema is caused by the inefficiency of the lymphatics to drain fluids and proteins, developing an accumulation of lymph liquids and finally an increase of limb circumference [3].
