Lying Is Good Research Paper

Do you think lying is bad? In the four essay it talks about how lying is good there is all types of lies either to protect or just do it. In my opinion I think you should not lie you should always tell the truth, it will avoid all danger, and last avoid all consequences.

For example, the reason you should never lie because you have to be honest. No matter what it is you should be, it's better if you are honest to your loved ones. Cause when they found out you lied they will be hurt and asked themselves why not be honest since the first place? Why lie?

Another reason why I think you shouldn't lie because it prevents from all danger. For example, if you tell your parents you are going to a certain place but then in reality you're not, you shouldn't lie about that because then your parents might go look for you they will be all worried the cops might be involved, because your parents think

In the article “ It’s the truth: Americans Conflicted About Lying” by the author it states that lying is okay sometimes to protect others and their emotions. In my opinion I disagree because you should always be honest than lying because then they will find out and get and It will avoid all consues what lies brings. You won't have to remember all the lies you said.
In conclusion, all articles talks about lying that is good but I disagree. Lying will hurt people's feelings if you won't be honest, the honesty is what holds the relationship between loved ones no lies just the truth because then they will find out then be hurt cause you could be honest since the

But if you actually sit down and think, everyone lies several times a day sometimes without even knowing it because the lie was so small and meaningless. But in other occasions people lie to protect things they care for and about they are also willing to accept the consequences behind their lies and actions. Part of lying is keeping the truth from others, which is crucial when the truth is hurtful, especially when this negative impact on others is perpetual. Still, lying is inevitable. In Stephanie Ericsson’s, “The Way We Lie” and Mark Twain’s, “On The Decay Of The Art Of Lying” both argue the rationale of lying. Ericsson states that lying is inappropriate and should not be practiced, while Twain believes lying is respectable when done right. Moreover, lying is an aspect of reality that should be embraced, but still at times avoided.…

In four articles that I read, it states a couple of things, for example, they talk about lying and if it's bad, is lying sometimes good, and is lying good. I believe lying is only good sometimes and it should only be used in white lies. I think a good time to lie is when you protect someone. One scenario of this is the story of Ann Frank.this is a good example because they were protecting Ann and her family by saying that there was nothing upstairs.…

Some of the consequences of lying that Ericsson refers to in the beginning of her essay are the destruction of trust and someone else receiving a punishment for your lie. When someone takes advantage of your trust in them that is when trust is destroyed. I once lost all trust in one of my acquaintances in middle school when I entrusted her with the duty of bringing a flash drive that contained our presentation on it the next day. She failed to bring the flash drive and we received a zero on our presentation and because of that, I did not trust her with any of my work from that point on. There have been many instances between my sister and I where we put the blame on the other person, when in fact it was one of our faults, which would result in one of us getting a punishment that we did not deserve.…

Most people will say that lying is never the answer, but they don’t always tell why. Lying often ends unethically, not only the can the lier be punished or feel guilty in the process, but it often goes further than anticipated. When looking back there seems to be more consequences on the result of the pretense than what the reward would have been if everything worked out and there was no lying. The Salem Witch Trials, the McCarthy Trials, and the McMartin Trials all proved that it is important to always be honest, regardless of the sacrifice.…
