A Mother’s Day Gift – Luxury Feminine Bedrooms on a Limited Budget

As Mother’s Day approaches this weekend, the world treats their mothers like a queen. However, if you’re a mother yourself, you’re probably thinking, stretch marks, PTA meetings, sleepless nights and most importantly, nothing is more challenging the motherhood and the word “Mom” seems to be grammatically incorrect and the proper term is spelled “Queen Mom.” That said, my sisters and I set out to give our mother a gift that would allow her to feel like a queen every day - the bedroom of her dreams. A luxury bedroom with soft linens, exquisite accent pieces, elegant window treatments and furnishing typically reserved for royalty. That said, we went on a treasure hunt to dig for coins in every nook within our reach and it looks like our Luxury bedroom décor will on one a limited budget. Nonetheless, we sent mom away for a week and we began redecorating using a photo from a magazine that featured luxury bedrooms (photo above) that mom fell in love with earlier this.

Our options for the wallpaper were plenty through outlets and online resources, hitting pay dirt - we found the exact wallpaper in the reference photo.

COST OF WALLPAPER

In order to get a good estimate of the wallpaper costs, measure the length of each wall and the height of the ceiling. Once you have all your numbers, you can use an online wallpaper rollage calculator. Mom’s project required 10 rolls.

MOLDING / WALL MOLDINGS
