Lung Abscess is a necrosis of the pulmonary tissue and the formation of the cavities containing necrotic debris or fluid caused by microbial infection; and oral secretions. People who suffer from the lung abscess are the ones with gingivitis or poor oral hygiene. A lot of older people develop this due to unable to handle their oral secretions. The symptoms for lung abscess are due to anaerobic bacterium which is chronic occurring over weeks or months. The signs are fever, cough, night sweats.
