The theme of the story was really well written because you can see the determination in each character through their actions. The amount of determination the characters have makes you wish you had the courage to take back what once was your or confront your feelings for someone you care a lot about. The main idea is also really well written. The words Meyer uses to describe a main scene or setting makes you feel like your there. For example, on page 205, Artemisia is being compared to the rural outer sector of Luna, “ ...the glistening tiles and intricate statues, gone were the polished woods a glowing orbs...Every surface was covered in a layer of dust...” (page 205, paragraph4, lines 3-6). Overall, this book had excellent imagery words and stuck with the theme and main idea and had a good amount of plot twists mixed in there. This book had an excellent ending to end an excellent

The first thing that caught my attention in the Horse Dealer’s daughter was Marble’s face being compared to a bull dog. I thought she must look pretty ugly then. I also liked the way the author described Joe, with black moustache that he twists. It made me chuckle and roll my eyes because I could actually imagine the character twisting his stupid mustache while speaking in an English accent. I felt really engage with the characters at that point.…

In "Station Eleven", her fourth and latest novel (published in 2014), she starts, with calm and paced language, by describing an unusual night at the theater. The instant impression is that of watching a thrilling, well-crafted TV series: the way the setting and the characters are introduced, the way the writing focuses on one character then another one in a large cast, induces a perception of movement, action and familiarity. In this novel a woman in her 20s, an actress in the "Traveling Symphony", journeys from one settlement to the next in a post-pandemic America, 20 years…

At the beginning of this project, coming up with a theme was quite easy but connecting them all together using different genres seemed like an almost impossible task. As I thought more about it, I decided to use the green light as my theme because I felt like the light was a big part of the book since it represents an unattainable dream or future. In this box, you are gonna see four different types of genres such as a found poem, a newspaper article about Gatsby’s parties, a drawing, and a movie trailer. I chose these four genres because I can really describe my theme through them.…
