Lululemon's Advertising Campaign

As you see here, this is one of the sales chart comparing Nike to other brands such as Lululemon. Nike is leading in many of these categories other than lululemon. This is one of the quarterly revenue graphs for Nike. They appear to be making about 8 billion dollars per quarter which equates to about $25 billion dollars per year.

Some of the patterns that I notice from this chart is that this stock is very stable. Especially even if they had a decrease in sales from previous years. Nike continues to be a major stakeholder in the world’s sports market for many decades and looks to be in the future as well. They are continuously making new products and making new trends for people to follow and be part of. They are also using models and famous

I have a very positive outlook on this company’s performance. They show that they can continuously overcome obstacles that come in their way such as a decrease in sales, they override this with a huge advertisement campaign. They also don’t wait for a change in sales to happen, they always make sure there is a trend or a change in the market of producers for their consumers purchase. The amount of products and their reach on customers is what makes them so unique and big. Everyone knows immediately what the swoosh symbol is when the see it, it is much like the Coca-Cola company in that sense. I believe that I would purchase this stock when it has a decrease in sales and wait for a big trend of products to increase the stock price. Over the years, this company has shown to grow exponentially although it is coming to a plateau as of now. I believe that it will continue to grow in the years to come and I would recommend buying a stock when the prices seem to fit the logic of doing so. I have seen many companies rise and fall but I don’t think this will be one of them for at least a couple decades. I think that the partnerships that this company has with other brands incuding people is what makes it so unique and

By definition a dividend policy is “a company's approach to distributing profits back to its owners or stockholders” (Chegg.com, 2015). Whether or not a company chooses to pay dividends can say a lot about the value a firm and is an important fact to consider when assessing a company. If a firm does give dividends, the way in which they give them (amount and frequency of dividends) is also significant. Foot Locker’s current share price is €66.65. Their dividend yield (the value of a dividend over the value of a share) is 1.69% which means that for each share, Foot Locker pay a dividend of €1.10 annually, although they actually pay dividends quarterly.…

Gross Profit Margin has been steady over the fiscal years 2012 to 2014, increasing from 43.5% in FY12 to 44.8% in FY14. FY12 ended with a decrease by 220 basis points, mainly caused by higher product costs, as well as investments in [NIKE's] digital business, an unanticipated customs assessment in an Emerging Markets territory related to imports that occurred during four previous fiscal years, and higher discounts on close-out sales. In 2013, NIKE's gross profit margin increased marginally again, resulting from higher selling prices…

According to BBC news, before Adidas decided to sign the sponsorship with Manchester United, Adidas had spent a total of £10 million more on sponsorship than Nike among the top 10 European football clubs (Karmali, 2014). Although Nike still supplies shirts for 26 clubs and Adidas’s only has 18, the amount of money that generates for shirt sells mainly comes from the top tier football clubs due to 80/20 Pareto Principle. Apparently Nike has a decrease in market share in football shirt sale. The fact that Adidas is signing a 10-years sponsorship; it shows that Adidas no longer look into short term return but a long term marketing tactics. According to Yahoo finance and borse-frankfurt stock market information website, Nike had experienced a 2.25% price drop from July 9th, 2014 (Date that Nike announced the break of sponsorship) to July 16th, 2014 (Date that Adidas announced the break of sponsorship)…
