Luke Bryan rose to fame with hit albums such as Tailgates and Tanlines, Crash My Party, and Doin’ My Thing. Bryan has had recognizable success with these albums and many people often find it’s because they resemble each other in a way that he does with almost all of his songs, such as the theme, lyrics, and vocals. However, on his new album, Kill The Lights, Bryan switched from bro-country to pop country and really ‘killed’ it when he left fans wondering why he hasn’t been making music like this throughout his fame. Though Bryan’s new album has some similarities to previous ones, the differences are what sticks out the most. Coming from a fan, these lyrics are very easy to critique. The way Bryan portrayed these lyrics caused him to come across as immature and unrelatable since not everyone has these same views or thoughts. Some of his lyrics weren’t cringey, but instead they were unclear on the way they were used. Bryan used an unclear phrase when he said: “Girl you make my speakers go boom boom.” After listening to that lyric multiple times since the song came out, it’s hard to comprehend what that even means. This specific lyric is far from the message of the song and is different from the rest of the lyrics in the song as well. It’s just overall confusing and not his best choice of words. However, Bryan has compelled fans into this new album with lyrics that leave you repeating them over and over in your head without recognition. For example, some catchy lyrics that Bryan has used are: “Sunrise, sunburn, sunset, repeat” and “Huntin’, fishin’, lovin’ everyday.” The first set of lyrics is an alliteration which makes them catchy because it emphasizes the rhythm and makes it more
