The best title in the universe When I learned that we were going to do a multi genre research project, my mind went immediately to serial killers. I have always been interested in serial killers but never really got insight on them. This project has given me a chance to really dig deep and I wanted to write this paper to inform you. I found two serial killers that I liked but after further research I decided on one serial killer, Luis Garavito. He has earned the reputation of the worst killer to ever walk on this planet. His total known victims were 140 while it is thought to be over 300. I also found in later research that he not only killed but raped his victims.

How did he kill his victims? He would first dress up as a priest, monk, hobo, etc. Then he would go up to his victims and gain their trust. He could easily do this by giving them a small amount of money, or act all innocent and have a conversation with him. After trust was gained Luis would ask the boy to go on a walk with him, and then that's when the magic happens. Poof! He’s suddenly dead in a mass grave. Now the specifics. He would rape the poor boy then chop off his head and finally bury him in a mass grave. All of Luis’s victims were poor boys of the age 6-16 who didn’t have a home. Luis always checked out his victims before pursuing with his lethal, and humanity questioning actions. He also kept the boys missing ads in the news paper. Since Luis Garavito did that one hundred and forty victims were identified. It his to have thought to be 300 but there is not enough evidence to prove so.
WHAT HAPPENED TO LUIS GARAVITO? Finally, Luis turned himself in. He told the cops about the many harsh kills and about how he raped the kids. He even told them where the mass graves were. He drew them a map, with the same dirty, grimy hands he had used to bury the kids who did not deserve to die. He was sentenced to twenty-two years in jail, in the year nineteen-ninety- nine. The max jail time anyone could serve was thirty years but Luis Garavito got eight years off because he helped the cops.

Reading the article “The Traits and Thrill of a Serial Killer” by Urmosne Gabriella Simon was very eye catching and thought out. The author describes how killers develop, how they act, and ways they kill. The reason the article was eye catching was because of its great use of logos, ethos, and pathos. The author was able to use logos by using real serial killers, ethos by providing sources, and pathos by putting information that made readers feel bad and understand killers.…

John Wayne Gacy is one of the most infamous serial killers in American history. During a seven-year span of the 1970s, Gacy murdered 33 men. As is the case with many high profile murderers, to the average person, one would have to be insane to commit such acts, which is what Gacy 's defense claimed. The jury did not buy it though, and Gacy would be executed by lethal injection in 1994. Criminologists study why people commit crime, and assemble theories.…
