Luffy That Was My Fish

It was never a normal day on the ship of the straw hat pirates, there was always a noise going on. From Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper fishing to Brook playing a song to Sanji fangirling over Robin and Nami. While you were sitting at a table, sun beating down on you, with a killer headache. Curse all this noise. Noise was your worst enemy at the moment and it seemed like its winning. Everything seems to go quiet for only a moment, a blissful moment, before the sudden yelling from across the deck made your head pound. “Oi! Luffy that was my fish!” “Nahnananah!” “Luffy! Swallowing your food before talking! Your could choke!” This arguing is followed by some more yelling and loud thuds before laughing, very loudly. You swear that your head is going to just stop working altogether if this continued. But, before …show more content…
Rolling to your side your open your eyes to stare forward, the light disagreeing with you and cause a sharp ache in the front of your head. The room was silent again, which wasn’t like Luffy at all. Within a couple of seconds you assumed he had left but the lights flickered off and there were footsteps coming towards you. Turning your head slightly you see Luffy crouching down by your bedside, his face scrunched up to show he was in deep thought. “What’s wrong-” you are cut off by a ‘shhh’ from Luffy as he continued to think. Like he was trying to remember something important. Before you know it the captain his taking your hand and gently rubbing the spot between and around your thumb and pointer finger. It took you a moment before you remember the conversation you had with Luffy just the other day. About how when you have a headache you should rub that small spot, it's suppose to help. Though that could have been just a useless piece of advice that roamed around. But he remembered, Monkey D Luffy remembered a small piece of advice that you told

As I stared across the bullet-torn battlefield I wondered how I ended up here; hiding behind a crumbling wall, clutching my gun as though it were a lifeline. How the young kid I'd once been now bore a dirty, camouflage patterned uniform. There I was, contemplating my life in the middle of a battle. I shouldn't have been surprised when a hand suddenly shot out in front of my face and smacked me upside the head. It was so unexpected that I nearly stumbled out from behind the rubble and right into the bullet whizzing by.…

Abigail takes being a mother to a whole new level after her daughter is lost, and this is defended by the Critical Essay 'My Name Was Salmon, Like the Fish ': Understanding Death, Grief, and Redemption in Alice Sebold 's The Lovely Bones written by Kenneth Womack. He states, “Abigail isolates herself by delving into the workaday world of the suburban housewife. Her obsession with the preparation of the family 's meals and her daily chores allows the time to pass more quickly, thus limiting her ability to reflect upon her daughter 's ordeal” (Womack 5). Abigail has to still be this perfect mother to hide behind who she really is becoming, and this only stays true for so long. By working so hard in all she does at home, she has no time to reflect on her daughter’s death or do anything about it.…

As honors students, we thrive on achievements. Tangible achievements are what, for many of us, ensure that we have accomplished our goals. For this reason, when I learned about the “Honor Cadet of the Flight” award at Civil Air Patrol Encampment, I was determined to achieve it. I knew from the moment I walked in to Sleepy Hollow park in Des Moines that I was going to have a good time. I was there for the Renaissance Faire during the Pirates and Wenches week. The smell of food and the sound of chatter was heavy in the air as a man dressed as a knight gave us a wristband, confirming that we had paid to get into the fair. I grinned at Sydney, and she smiled back, our excitement showing. My parents talked about the events as they looked over the schedule, but I wasn’t listening.…

The movement starts with a very mysterious tone with the instruments playing ascending and descending conjunct scales very quickly. Additionally, the instruments gradually layer on top of one another and then return to a single instrument over and over again to audibly depict the rising and falling of the waves. This layering and very strong sound can correlate to the sharp dark blue color of the waves in the woodblock print As the piece continues, the mood changes back and forth between mysterious, pleasant, and franticly distressed, which are different emotions that one can experience while at sea. These shifts in mood are sudden and random, just as the weather at sea often rapidly changes and causes those on ships, perhaps the ships in the woodblock artwork, to quickly change their attitudes towards being at sea. Around two minutes and ten seconds, higher pitched instrument take over and evoke a very airy feel that can be related to the wind swirling around.…
