His music became very famous and thanks to the imitations that other people created of his work, his music style still lingers with us to this day. This is a topic that has to be approached in a very odd way due to the fact that not only is research needed, but musical pieces also have to be compared. I chose to revise “Cinderella” because the power of female beauty and the presence of female passivity as a component of beauty has found its way into modern culture and it has warped society’s perspective of females. Cinderella’s impact on growing girls is enormous because it is the biggest of the three “Big Girl Tales” and it is embedded in the heart of our culture in regards to how little girls should grow to view themselves (Thomas, Tammis). The subliminal impacts of “Cinderella” on the minds of female children encourage passivity and place an emphasis on a “Prince” who is supposed to save them from their circumstances. The driving point that led to “Cinderella” as the tale for my radical revision is that there is more to choosing a mate…

One of the key characteristics of a Cinderella story is that there is a stepmother and stepchild. But it is deeper than that, throughout the history of this story the stepmother is always shown as being cruel towards her stepchild. Not only will the nature of the stepmothers’ cruelty be discussed but also the motivations behind them. This will be done through the analysis of three versions of the Cinderella story, “Yeh-Hsien”, “The Story of the Black Cow”, and “Lin Lan”.…

We start by analyzing the fixed ideas about culture. This story keeps with the tone of the original Cinderella story by portraying the evil stepmother and stepsister. This is reflected in the text, “My father’s wife works me like a serving-girl” (Souci, 1998). Another example of the stepmother’s cruelty is revealed in the text when godmother describes Cendrillon’s life, “nothing was easy for her at home. Madame and spoiled Vitaline ate dainties.…

Ludwig Van Beethoven, was the composer who changed music more than any other composer, the sound of music and what the other composers that were to come after him thought. He wrote nine symphonies, five piano concertos, an opera and many pieces of chamber music that jolted music right out of itself. Beethoven changed music by creating a new era called Romanticism, influencing the other composers and changing the old methods by adding a special twist. The first way that Beethoven changed music was by creating romanticism. Ludwig is viewed as the most transitional figure between the eras of classical and romanticism of musical history.…
