Oprah Winfrey said, “Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity”. Oprah is telling people that preparation for opportunity is the key to success, not luck. I agree, I’m a true believer in one makes his or her own luck. In the past if an opportunity did not happen for me I would say, “Luck isn’t on my side”, but today, I think differently. Luck is something that occurs without control for example, winning the lottery. Luck is when ability and opportunity come together. One example is, I had the ability to pick up a book a read, giving me opportunity to expand my mind and vocabulary.
