The technology which surrounds almost everyone in the modern society, affects both culture and human activities. Technology contains information and chance that transformed us to a new age where it influences minds in both good and bad ways and allows people to share information which they would which they would otherwise not be able to attain. However, the technology transformation is now beginning to be harnessing the minds of future children and adolescents in ways that could be harmful. Both authors Loyalka and Srinvas, studies and shared these changes that affect our world. Although both stories from Loyalka and Srinvas experience the new growing technology and city construction around the environment, Loyalka focuses on the individuals’ stories while Srinvas refers to pedestrians …show more content…
Life-story is a method of qualitative research and individual’s experience to express a new idea. Life-story allows the audience to explore individual experience within his/her story. In the film, China Rises, four main characters are shown and described using the life-story methods throughout the film, demonstrating the life styles of new High-Tech rising China. Most Chinese are hip, they’re happy and they enjoy more personal freedom than at any point in their country’s history. But while Middle class Chinese make the most of their prosperity, Shanghai’s poor find little reason to celebrate. The first character, Ma Liang is a successful commercial director in Shanghai. At age 33, he has built a lucrative career producing advertisements for international brands like Coca-Cola and Sony. He owns an expensive apartment in downtown Shanghai and runs his company out of offices in the trendy French Concession. His twenty-nine-year-old wife, Jenny Ji is also successful after studying fashion design in France. Life has not
